Relationships are vital to human well-being.  We gather with family for celebrations and holidays, call friends to share good news and bad, and often reach out to others who have experienced a similar challenge we are dealing with.  People who have experienced a similar challenge, such as a chronic disease, and have learned ways to manage can be an invaluable support to share what has worked for them, and sometimes as importantly, what has not worked.  People and families living with dementia find connecting with others a tremendous help.
