Rising Up! Project Workshop

Rising Up! is a co-created dance-on-film project led by people living with dementia in partnership with professional artists through a collaboration between DanceStream Projects and Dementia Action Alliance. Inspired by a collective poem created by people living with dementia, the project uses dance, storytelling, and film to challenge stigma and celebrate creativity, hope, and possibility. Through ongoing monthly workshop sessions, participants continue collaboratively developing the project into a completed film while sharing a powerful message that thriving with dementia is possible. Entirely driven by people living with dementia, Rising Up! is a call to action for mental health, dementia inclusion, justice, and community connection.
